Stefanie Sun's Concert

I've never been to Yanzi's concert once even all these years, I was prepared to buy her tickets early during april this year, but considering the fact of my known in-camp training at that time, I unbearingly "forfeited" it. I thought that I wasn't be able to come back on saturday and weekends from my in-Camp training, but eventually I did, which I now felt that it was a pity that I didn't even buy her concert tickets in the first place. Though I did manged to contact a yanzi idol/fan who wants to sell the concert tickets as he/she can't go, but I still was unable to get it on time,as it was already being sold to others. I really felt remorseful, and still can't even get over it.

It's really sad. I wonder when Yanzi will have her concert here in singapore again. The concert this time round seems to be her all round-asia 2nd pit stop here, which I will be missing. I just can't go to her concert even once.~sigh~

Nevertheless, I really hoped that her concert goes well, and wish her the best of luck in her concert
performance.

Hope that yanzi will have another concert here in singapore again soon. Next time, I WILL attend her concert no matter what happens. And that's a promise.

A Long, "Flashback" blog Entry

It's been quite a long while since I logged in and filled up my blog entry.
Years, or months, maybe. Anyway, lots of things happened when I left this blog unattended.
So now, I feel that it is time for me to "trash out" all my stuff into one single blog entry.
I wonder when will I have the time to blog again? Well, anyway, here goes nothing.

Firstly, I'm relieved to say that I'm now studying as a (Part-time) first year student at SIM. Just completed my first half of the year actually, though I failed my part of the java programming. -_-"

(Java was chopped into 2 portions, introductory, and object-oriented, like C++ programming.
AND I failed the introductory part.=_=" Oh, I hear "noob" echoes... Seriously, the paper is tough, and it's quite difficult to attend the paper when given 2 hours to think those four nerve-wrecking questions! =_=")

Anyway, I have to resit the paper again* this semester, so..plus another 3 modules, databases and one English core module, well, it's still okay, unlike last semester, which I took 6 modules altogether, which is 2 English Core modules, 2 C++ and Java modules
(2 portions; introductory, and object-oriented, for each module.)

I also managed to get a permanent job at ST Kinetics, as a (software) engineer, involving
military stuff. Cool huh? I got along with my boss and collegues well, so that's not a problem.
Thing is, they once wanted to send me to overseas to india, which is very hot down there due to the hot weather, and I refused to, due to personal hygenie issues and of course, my re-service.

My reservice starts next week, which lasts for 2 weeks from 6th July to 17th July. I find it to be a
hassle, cause I tend to miss alot of things that I wanted to do. For instance, like the movies,
"20th century Boys II" (9th July), "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", I will be missing them, as I'm in camp and can't watch them...Most of all, Stefanie Sun's Concert in singapore. Yeah I know, most people find it to be ridiculous, but I shall miss it most of all.

Anyway, for the past months, I've been working, half-studying, and half-practising my anime
fan-art drawing skills. Don't know when it started that I have a habit of this new hobby of mine.
I've found out that there are many ways of doing anime artworks in PCs using photoshop and stuff like that. I've also been reading manga and watching online anime streaming. =) Wonder how and when will local people will be able to catch up with animation productions like fellow people in Tokyo, Japan? Feel that we need to buck up more!

Anyway, I have drawn few pieces of my anime art pieces and put up in my Deviant Art portal, which people seldom go in and have comments on them. =_=" I'm now still progressing in my techniques. Even so, I'm working and still haven't have found the time to get and prepare my anime blog up and running... somehow feel lost somewhere around there. Well, I think I'll have to do that after my In-camp's over, but then again, comes the start of the second semester of my studies at SIM after that... =_="

Birthday Gathering and Thoughts..

Last Saturday,

I've finally celebrated my birthday...25 years of age this year..one year older....

Well, though the celebration wasn't what I've expected; in IMM's Swedsen's, which is
near to my home, but at least, it's the sincerity that counts.

My friends; Rishaba Raj, Simin, Atiqah, Wenwei and Billy (from NYP) and I gathered together to celebrate my bday. Though it was a simple and short one, I kinda fell the warmth. To think that they really remembered everyone's birthday...(that's tough to remember!).

Thanks for celebrating it with me. Kinda appreciated it!

Now, off to my thoughts....

Hmm...now, I'm kinda stuck with my current temp. job with HSA, till 15 Sept. next month....
Luckily, got also an interview with ST kinetics this wed...job's a perm programmer...wish me luck....

Anyway, my ultimate wish is still first getting a degree...now all thats left is SMU uni. NUS and NTU I'm kinda givin' them up..as they need at least an GPA of 3.5 and above to get admitted into the course that I wanted..

I also asked my PM (Personal Mentor) at my old campus NYP for clues of whether they had available night courses for my old course, EI, and the answer's no. So, currently , I'm left with 2 options:
Seek SIM uni, or SMU uni, or even worse, find a EI course in other campus, NP, or SP, and 'get on with it'....

Really admire my friends who are in NTU/NUS now...~sigh~

Currently, I'm doing a temp job as IT Staff in HSA, doing inventory stocktaking, and it's been a month or so now...the contract expires on 15th Sept. Recently, I also had went to the Jobscentral Career Fair at Suntec last month, and quite surprised, few weeks ago, there is a interview with ST Kinetics, one of the company exhibitors over there.

The job's actually programming, one of my speciality. Of course, the interview went well, and to my surprise, I'm even the first one to be interviewed!! So, now, had to wait for their reply, according to their response 2 weeks' notice, which is due next week.

Anyway, recently, I had also went to watch 'Wall.E.' at Singapura Plaza's Golden Village and 'Cyborg SHE' at Jurong East's SHAW Brothers'. Found out that the 2 shows are very interesting, and touching, too...

~Sigh~

Boring Day and thoughts..

~Sigh~ This is the 2nd week that I'm waiting for the job responses from all the applications I've applied online, from JobsDB and Jobscentral. Thoughts began to enter my mind...

Sometimes, I just wonder why I can't get into local NUS/NTU when I applied them. People, like me, who wish to have furtherstudies/education, can't even get into both of these Unis.(in exception from SMU/ UniSIM, as I haven't apply them yet!)

Now, I have to be stuck in finding jobs, to 'temporarily' occupy myself, as well as gaining job experiences. The problem is, after 2 years of NS, and with backward knowledge in technology, I always find myself with equipped with, temporarily jobs, whenever I applied through online.

These temp jobs normally are 2 to 3 months' contract!! I just can't find any jobs that are permanent ones, and withstanding until I have applied local Uni to study in, preferably till Jan/feb next year. I always seem to find myself, wondering that polytechnic diploma certs, are always not enough to occupy permanent jobs...

Now here I am, stuck at home, still finding job...~sigh~

Friends gathering with a Weird Twist

Last Saturday, three days ago, I went for a gathering with my NS friends Yiping, Juson, Raymond, Marvin, Ming Zhen, Alvin, and Li Zhong. According to Yiping, there are supposingly to be 16 people coming, but it turns out that some of them are busy, and unable to make it. Most of them are late though, due to the fact that few of them have OTs, and others, well, I've simply have 'no idea' on.

Initially, it was decided that few of us going for bowling, but for some apparent reason, we chosen the wrong venue, Marina Square, which happens to be in the seasonal occasion of NDP '08 rehearsals, so it was kinda crowded. Of course, the bowling alley down there was also crowded, so we kinda gave it a miss, and went into the Arcades instead,and waiting for the rest of them to turn up. By the time most of them arrived, it was almost 10+pm.

So, We went for the K-box. Initially, I was in the objection of doing so, cos' I'm in cold flu and I kinda worried for myparents. After some persuasion, I got no choice, but kinda followed them there, since it's 11+pm liao. So, there I was,stuck in K-box till 4am in the next morning! I kinda didn't sing, cos' my throat was'nt quite well, since I'm in cold flu.=_=".

Really regret can't sing Stefanie Sun's songs. She's my idol, man! So, We all kinda stuck there until 4am, and then take cab home. I kinda slept till 10am the next morning.

Back to 'Square One'

Today's the last day of my temp job at NYP. 3 months had passed.
In the end, I'm still waiting to apply for local Uni. Now, it's either time I try on SMU or UniSim.
I can't really put my high hopes on both NTU or NUS, since both Unis already competition is high, and the
chance rate of being admitted is slim, as there are many overseas students and JCs students 'snatching' the places.
I really want to study at NTU, but given no choice, had to select others.

Some people might ask why do I kept on applying?

To me, First, I like to study. Second, a diploma is not enough, and I need to 'upgrade' myself, after 2 years' of NS service.
Third, it's not very easy for me to find a perm occupation, I always got a temp one instead!! Lastly, I really wish to take
care of my parents.

My friends are right. They really advised me to apply for more Unis instead of one.
Now I have to apply uniSim, and also wait for the next admission to SMU.... ~_~"

Jap Restaurant and Thoughts..

Yesterday evening, I went with a couple of friends to have buffet at the certain jap restaurant.(Forgotten what's the name called!) Anyway, the food's quite good, even though I've seldom went to jap restaurant for sushi.

Anyway, we also went to a pub later. Seriously, I've never been to a pub before. This is the first
time. Although I didn't follow my friends into drinking beer, I can see that the place is very occupied.
Sometimes, I wonder to myself, how they're going to survive in there with the heat of so many people, though the air-conditioner is on? And the noise level, is up to the maximum!! I had to plug into my MP3 handphone to diffuse the noise level to my ears, sheesh!

To my other friends who managed to get into NTU, I really admired them, though they are from JCs and some, polytechnics. I really wished that I could go into NTU, nevertheless, I've tried up to the maximum of applying 4 times already, and STILL, the same old' rejection result takes place.Sometimes, I kinda wonder is it that my luck is down on me, or is it that they really never want me to go in at all? Based on my soul-searching statstics, if I were to ever enter into NTU, they are not going to be disappointed, as I WILL be able to catch up the learning phase with others, NOT RELATED to the fact that just because I had a lower GPA score, due to the hectic chaotic 3rd year of my studies in NYP (year 2005), when the system syllabus changed, and projects kept pouring in!!

Local Universities Admissions

Well, looking back, as I can recall, I had received a mail back then last month and the same reply to me each year, from NTU; that the admission rate of the no. of people is high and there was no allocation of slots available for my admission. After 3 long years of attempt, I had given it up.

Most of my friends already had advised me to apply for ALL the local unis in Singapore so that my chance of going to either unis' rate is higher (with subjects of my interest, of course!). But NOOO! I never listened to their advice. Now, I had to pay with the consequence of getting to neither Unis in Singapore. ~sigh~

The only option now, is either to apply UniSim, or, wait for the next enrollment of admissions for the rest of the Unis. I still have dilemma of deciding which path of road to take. I'm definitely now in crossroads, man! ~sigh*~

Chronicles of Narnia--Prince Caspian

Few days ago, last saturday, I just went to Jurong East Shaw Brothers Entertainment Centre to watch the movie. It follows the story years after the 'Chronicles of Narnia--The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe'. This time round, they were transported to Narnia through magic in a train station.

It's really great to see the characters back in action again. I kinda like this movie since the first one, and this second movie shows how the four main characters have grown, and how they deal with their issues. Kinda like the song 'The call' by Regina Spektor, towards the end of the movie. =)

Old' Indiana Jones new movie

Last Saturday, I went to watch old' Indiana Jones new movie, at the usual place at Jurong East. Seems that he has an heir to his 'old adventures' hunting' job, his son. This time, he travels with his son 'Mutt', and even his wife on his adventure. Well, not exactly very exciting about this movie, except that you'll be glad that the good old' hilarious bloopers are still there in his film.

Though there are critics about the geological locations issues about the film, well, overall, the movie still can be considered okay. Though Indiana (Harrison Ford) is in his 50's, the role he played in still is as better than before. Think no one can replace him for that. Ever. =)

Accuracy Of Death

Today, I just went to AMK Hub's Cathay Cineplex to watch "Accuracy Of Death" Movie, with a dear friend of mine. The movie's quite touching, by the looks of it. There are also some humor as well, coming from the Grim Reaper (Takeshi Kaneshiro), as he encounters the lives of those whom are 'ending' soon. Overall, still not so bad. Kinda like the 'Sunny Day' song theme....>_<

Anyway, also went to Kinokuniya Bookstore earlier in the afternoon and bought the 'Cardcaptor Sakura' Memorial book. (Wonder why it happens to pop up in the store until now? It's been years since the anime officially completed. As I can recall, it's during my secondary school years leh!) The place was also crowded. Don't know is it something to do with the Vesak Day public holiday, in the following next day? Hmm...-_-

Labour Day- Iron Man style!

Today, I went to good 'old SB (Shaw Brothers) at Jurong East entertainment centre for the 'Iron Man' movie. Good movie, I must say. The GCIs are the best, I can tell ya that. And there were also some 'mini-bloopers' included in the movie itself. Seems that Tony Stark (aka Ironman) had some mechanical sidekicks, which are totally hilarious. I do recommending watching this movie. Totally rocks! =)

After the Outing....& Unis

So Far so gd, the celebration of my friend's bday went well yesterday, though most arrived late at the 24 Hrs Swenson's venue in Orchard. Although we planned to go to the movies after that, but due to the time constraints, we didn't managed to go. But, however, it was worthwhile, as we can see how each other progresses in life.

I do admire some of my friends, who been able to get to Uni and studying now..wish can say the same for me, though most of them advised me to apply for ALL the Unis in singapore, not just only one NTU, which I certainly agree, and was regretful of applying only on NTU.

Hope that I can get in this year...else I will have to wait for the year after this one, which, to me, kinda 'sux'.....~sigh!~

Random Day with outing with friends in the night

Hi, It's been long time since I've ever stepped in here to blog...sigh~ have been busy workin',

you see. Ever since the probation over at NCS, I've been looking for temp jobs all over, since I've applied for studies in NTU (again, Fourth time liao)..., which in hope of getting into NTU this year, hopefully, -_- ... Anyway, got a temp job, as Technical Support-kinda-computer technician-job from my previous tetitary school, NYP, with the help of my personal mentor there.

Just by going to work there, it seems to trigger my 'mind' back to the times when I was there, studying, before going to NS. Yup, some of the lecturers whom taught me before, are still there, though maybe some of them can't recognise me. True, since it's been 2 years plus, maybe. Well, it's kinda normal, I mean, they don't really remember you always, unless you gave them an 'unforgettable' impression....

Anyway, if you count till now, it's been 3 weeks since I'm there, working, AND STILL Waiting for my NTU admission result...REALLY HOPE that I get in....~sigh~Since in NYP workin', seeing those students running here and there, really triggered me to want to go to studies again, since it's 2 years in NS, and all the technologies I've studied then seemed to be abit out-dated, I think.

Anyway, tonite will be celebrating one of my friend's birthday, (from NYP also), hope it turns out well enough...AND not to miss my favourite anime of all time, D.Grayman also...~sigh~

Mx0 manga & Others

I went to West Mall today to pay my starhub handphone bills. (By the way, if you are wondering how much, well, $42+ cheap right=)- ) Anyway, feeling bored, I went on a mission to seek out for the 'Evangelion' anime series in VDC/DVD format, if any, in Kinokuniya bookstore branch in Ngee Ann City. But hey, to my surprise, there ain't any there. I do remember that there is the anime series being released by ODEX, couples of years back, when I went to a local Poh Kim Store. (hmm...how time flies...still don't have..Same result with Fate/Stay Night anime series...Hopeless... -_-")

Anyway, I do managed to find manga book series 'Mx0'. It seems to have cught my attention when I browsed through their manga releases online. So far, I have four manga comics collection, in addition to the present one; Rosario +Vampire, Magister Negai Magi, Physco Busters, Mx0. Cool huh? =)

I also found interesting illustration books on my favourite anime series, but I kinda ignored them. Why? Cos' I already have most of them, some others, well, I like their wallpapers instead. I possessed 'Shakugan No Shana' illustration books, 2 of them actually; Ka-en Itou no Ijiga Illustration 2(jap version) and Gu-ren(chinese version). Anyway, the chinese version for Ka-en already out liao. So, people who're interested, can proceed to Kinokuniya to take a look.

Jumper'-Day 2 after probation job over

~Sigh~ Day 2, after the probation job was over...-_-"

Anyway, I have just seen the movie 'Jumper' today.Though the special effects were great, but

the movie plot kindda to be shorter. It doesn't really explain how the main lead character,

got his 'teleportation' skills, unlike 'X-Men'. And he is not the only one though,

there are even others. The only part reasonable, well, the lead male character saves

his girlfriend (Hey, every superhero always have this part, duh!!) x).

Evangelion 1.0: You are (not) Alone

After some doubts and seriousness consideration, I've decided to proceed to Cathay cineplex @ Doby Ghaut to watch 'Evangelion 1.0: You are (not) alone', after going to National Library @ West Mall, and paid my internet bills. You will notice that under the movie title, specified that 'NC-16: Contains some nudity'. No stupid gross ideas, pls. [In this case, 'nudity' refers to 'scantily-dressed'. O-kay. Not to worry. I'm over-aged lah!]

Anyway, when they said that the movie is #1 in Japan, they won't kidding. It's undoubtfully true. There also seems to have a bit of chemistry between Shinji and Asuka , I think, is endearing enough. Hope it lasts forever in the next comin' up movie trilogies . Anyway, if you really want to get the 'full picture' of the movie, you really need to watch it.

I've even heard that there is already an anime series based on this movie, even before the movie's been released. (By the way, the movie's based on the first six episodes of the anime series, so I've heard...)

Not So Humorous HORTON

Today went to Jurong East Shaw Brothers Entertainment Centre to watch 'Horton' movie, from the producers of 'ICE AGE'. Incidentally, there also happens to have a bonus 'ICE AGE 3' movie trailer, which involves our dear good 'O' Sabretooth Squirrel. [Wonder why it's always after the corn? -_-" Never Mind...]

Suprisingly, the movie's not bad, though there isn't any laughter coming from the audience. Jim Carrey, seemed to have played Horton well, so there shouldn't be a problem there.. Maybe it's due to the start of the school holidays...anyway, problem lies with the story though, I think, it's quite erhm, vague. No offence, but it does really seem so...

Well, anyway, initially, I'm in a tight spot actually. Not sure where to continue? Should I go to work, or study first? Hmm...But, after some consideration, and many hints of guidance, I've decided...

"To focus my path on finding job first"...

As once a wise friend of mine said to me, "Studying Uni does'nt only depend on luck...they sometimes do really require some job experiences.."

Yeah, it does make some sense. At the meantime, think I'll enjoy bit of my 'freedom' first...

Bad Day

Today is really, considered a bad day. Just received news from my job's company that today is my last day at work..
-_-".(~Sigh~)

As you can see, they had put me under two months' probation of my line of work, and now, it's the end of the two months' probation...
~sigh~.

This isn't really what I've hoped for. Wonder how my parents will feel about this..
Maybe heaven has other plans for me... -_-"

New guy in town

Have a great celebration over downtown east with a group of friends as it's one of their birthday...
I kinda feel "improper" when I came along with my mum...(course she afraid that I might went lost)...
Everone seems to be not "themselves" when it came to that...(sigh...). Well, still I liked to wish that friend of mine "Happy Birthday" Hoped she like the card I've sent her...(Intend not to put her name...Do you really want to know??)
